Happy New Year! 2008 is bringing a few changes to the Springer lineup. The HR Tenor has been dropped and I have raised my prices due to increased costs. I am also working on a way for you, the customer, to order a fully customized mouthpiece taylor-made to your tastes. Customizable factors will include: tip opening, baffle, and chamber style. More on this later... have a great year.

The Wedge Tenor will be modified removing the decorative endpiece. This has previously prevented me from shaving the table down to the correct position. I will miss the look of it as I thought it was special, but all things must yield to functionality.
Yahoo Sponsored Search has put the screws to it's patrons by basing their listing order by number of hits as well as your bid. This means that (even tho I was paying for the first position with the highest bid) when you search for saxophone mouthpieces, sites like KMART and EBAY will come before springermpc.com because they get a lot of traffic. I have dropped them and suggest all others do the same.

I have decided to discontinue the Beginner line of mouthpieces as I would rather focus on the best mouthpieces I can make. I think my prices are still reasonable for beginners wanting a quality piece.
Look for me at the Clackamas Jazz Festival March 16th and 17th at Clackamas Community College. Stop by and try a Springer!

Here is a pic of the "Keyhole" window. I will be incorporating it into my newer pieces as it really opens up the low end response.

New jazz musician in town Devin Phillips is now playing Springers on tenor and soprano. See him at the upcoming Portland Jazz festival. This 25 year old transplant from the Big Easy is really smokin!
