Announcements at Springer

This Spring I sent out some surveys and the results from this show that most of my clients do not need the ligature and cap that I supply. So - effective immediately they will not be shipped with orders. Instead as always I recommend the regular 2-screw brass ligatures that can be purchased at this woodwind store.

The Wedge Tenor has been resized to .125" Due to an oversight on my part, I thought the rock and rollers would love the biggest possible tip opening, but seems the .125" is the perfect size for this piece.

Springer is now paperless and will NOT include an invoice with your mouthpiece - if you do need an invoice I can send it to you through email (.pdf). Just drop me a line and let me know.

I have added a page to discuss the Anatomy of the Saxophone Mouthpiece. This excercise helped me experiment with frames and new design motifs and hopefully will help some folks with learning about parts of the mouthpiece.

Due to swine flu shopdog has been quarantined until further notice. I however will be lurking about the Mt. Hood Jazz Festival on May 9th - hope to see you there - come by and try a mouthpiece! Just got a new Phil Barone curvy soprano and it really is a nice horn for the money - I suggest you all try them out before spending 3 times as much for others.

2009 is here and I have decided to rollback prices as the economy is in the tank and I felt bad about raising them in the first place. The lineup is nearly the same as before with the addition of the Ebolin Clone alto. The Wedge Tenor is at .150" tip opening now. And I have dropped the Newsletter as I ran out of topics and time to get them out. I have added a new mascot - SHOPDOG. he is our little chihuahua that keeps me company in the shop (he also thinks he owns the place).
